Strength through JesusHope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. We enjoyed riding our horses and relaxing for
a nice change.
As I was riding my powerful horse, through the woods, I was thinking about how weak I feel
at times, and how riding him makes me feel strong. Then I realized that my real strength comes from God. I read once
that if we make our wants & needs humbly and heartily known to our Heavenly Father, that our Angels mark our prayers,
and give us assistance with the things we ask for; as long as our hearts are in the right place.
I love this passage:
"If we encounter difficulties, and in Christ's strength overcome them; if we meet enemies, and in Christ's strength put
them to flight; if we accept responsibilities, and in Christ's strength discharge them faithfully, we are gaining a precious
experience. We learn, as we could not otherwise have learned, that our Saviour is a present help in every time of need."

Praying for ProtectionI always pray for God to protect me before
I get up on a horse to ride, even my trusty steed-Forest. I also always pray for the other riders on our trail rides.
This is a wonderful way to feel and be more secure in the saddle, and to do something valuable and Christian for other people.
Try it! You will experience more security and receive the warm feeling of doing something nice for others as well.
